Signature events

Beastly Ball, the Minnesota Zoo’s annual gala fund-raising event, is a black-tie event for 550 guests. Lancer Catering works with the Zoo Foundation and Zoo Staff to plan a themed event that includes hand-passed hors d oeuvres, an iced martini bar, five-course plated dinner and an after dinner dessert bar and wine. Because of the formality of the event, Lancer uses a sweep style of service where all guests at a table are served each course simultaneously.

The event draws rave reviews, from guests as well as Zoo Foundation directors and staff; it exceeds expectations and raises phenomenal funds for the Zoo’s important work as a conservation education organization that benefits animal habitats.
