Picnics at Minnesota Zoo
Relax and enjoy one of three spacious and beautifully wooded natural picnic sites at the Minnesota Zoo. Your group can experience the wonder and unique variety of zoo animals and habitats then return to a private picnic area and enjoy a delicious catered meal. Our picnic planners will be happy to assist you with the details, including menus, activities and admission.
Puma Park
Puma Park is the largest of the Minnesota Zoo’s picnic sites, located near the parking lots and includes two shelters, portable restroom facilities and a large recreation area.
The Lion’s Den
The Lion’s Den is in a wooded area that overlooks a scenic pond and can accommodate up to 300 people. This facility has one shelter and includes a recreation area.
Green Acres
Green Acres is located on the Northern Trail, close to Replay Park and the Wells Fargo Family Farm. Two large, beautiful tents provide shelter for up to 350 guests.
